My name is Connor and I’m a UCLA alum that currently works at Genentech in South San Francisco, California. I am reaching out regarding an opportunity at Genentech for UCLA undergraduate students of at least junior standing: Every year, Genentech grants the Outstanding Student Award (OSA) to outstanding students at select schools in disciplines related to biotechnology. One winner from each school will be awarded $2,500 and a guaranteed three-month summer internship starting in May/June 2021. The internship is in the Pharmaceutical Technical Development (PTD) organization, which includes a variety of functions such as cell culture, purification, analytics, and pharmaceutical development. Please see the attached flyer for more information about the program and directions on how to apply. Applications for the Outstanding Student Award will be due by October 11th. Additionally, applications for the Process Development Rotational Program (PDRP) are currently being accepted. PDRP is a 2 year rotational program that provides recent grads with the opportunity to gain exposure to 4 different departments within PTD. The attached flyer provides additional details about PDRP.
