Materials Engineering Intern – Summer 2021 at Oshkosh Corporation

As a Materials Engineering Intern for the summer of 2021, you will assist in the planning, executing, and finalizing projects, programs, and materials according to deadlines and within budget. This internship will allow you to gain a holistic understanding project management while allowing you to build your network through key relationships with sales, engineering, manufacturing, legal, and finance functions.
As a Materials Engineering Intern your assignments may include:

• Experience project management key milestones and deliverables
• Help to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
• Gain experience with full-scale project plans and associated communications documents
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
• Coordinate with project stakeholders by helping to manage project expectations on an ongoing basis; identify and help to resolve issues and risk within the project
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
• Support in the development of status reports, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

• High School Diploma or equivalent working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Quality, Engineering, Operations Management/Business Administration, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Ability to learn new programs and processes quickly.
• Communication, organizational, planning, and/or leadership skills.
• Willing to travel or relocate to an Oshkosh Corporation site for the duration of the summer 2021 internship. Remote assignments will be considered.
